Wore these for a full day at the beach and never once felt that swampy heat situation. The DropTemp liner actually does keep things cooler, and the stretch shell moves with you when you're paddling out.

The built-in liner is the real win here. No chafing after swimming and then walking around town all afternoon, and the shell stretches plenty when I'm moving. Dries fast enough that I wore them two days straight on a trip.
