The liner actually keeps things cool when you're sweating on the beach, which I didn't expect from swim shorts. The pouch took a day to get used to, but now regular trunks feel wrong. Stretch shell moves fine for volleyball too.
Wore these for a full day of swimming and beach volleyball and the 4-way stretch shell never once felt restrictive. The DropTemp liner genuinely kept things cooler than my old trunks, which surprised me.
